Chair
- Act as the main spokesperson for the Branch to members, the public and the press
- Work in close collaboration with the Branch Organisers and other committee members to inform and deliver branch strategy.
- Attend key local organiser meetings

- Sit on the Central Union Executive Committee as a FCW Branch representative with voting rights.

Vice Chair

- Chair branch meetings where ther Chair is unable to attend

Secretary
- Ensure all branch business is performed according to union rules and branch constitution.
- Coordinate Branch Meetings
- Sending meeting reminders & calls for motions/papers
- Setting and circulating agenda & papers
- Circulating meeting link
- Ensure minutes are taken
- Circulating minutes

Treasurer
- Manage day to day finance of the branch, processing payments as necessary and appropriate.
- Coordinating with and updating central Union Treasurer as required.
- Provide an ongoing overview and forecast of branch finances, including raising concerns in a timely manner, to ensure the branch remains operational and sustainable at all times.
- Deliver monthly balance sheet to committee
- Provide annual budget plan for branch in line with branch strategy
Co-Comms Officer:
- Work in close collaboration with the Chair, Branch Organisers and PR team to inform and deliver a branch media & comms strategy
- Share access to branch social media accounts – actively post and engage with members on social media and share, respond and engage with press and social media around UK foster care issues as appropriate.
- Work with branch coordinators and PR team to identify and take action on press opportunities.
- Engage with coordinators, caseworker, organisers and members to create a bank of foster care spokespersons available for press interview / comment.
Diversity Officer (Women, LGBQT, Disabled, Neuro-Diverse)
- To oversee a subcommittee formed of members representing diverse and/or less represented groupings within the membership.
- To Act as the first point of contact and lead on issues at branch level relating specifically to issues raised by the subcommittee
- Actively engage with and support the national Women’s Officer on union-wide issues, projects and campaigns relating to this area.
BAME Officer
- Act as the first point of contact and lead on issues at branch level relating specifically to Black, Asian and minority ethnic members
- Actively engage with and support the national BAME Officer on union-wide issues, projects and campaigns relating to these areas.

Member Development Officer
- Provide welcome calls to new members to educate them on the union and branch and identify personal areas of interest and/or skills
- Share access to foster support email – identify casework queries, make contact in the case of urgent enquiry / allegations and collect additional information if required. pass cases on to Case worker.
- Call cancelled members to ensure there has not been an error, collect feedback on why they have cancelled and reactivate if possible.
