The Foster Care Workers Branches of the IWGB are the secretariat and founder of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Foster Care Work that sits in Westminster.

The APPG has recently been reconvened following a mandatory break during the general election. Following a successful AGM the group has elected a Chair and five new Vice-Chairs. It will continue to be held in the Palace of Westminster to investigate a central register, workers rights and national sectoral bargaining for foster care workers, the three demands of our union.

20 MPs and Peers are members of this APPG and regularly attend and input into our process.

Our next session will be announced shortly. In the meantime you can read the draft Foster Care Workers Bill presented by John Hendy QC at our session on the 29th of January here and here.
